Kiawah Island Golf Resort - Booking Your Reservation


SMA’s Group Reservation Deadline
Thursday, June 15, 2017. After this date, reservations will be accepted by the hotel at its discretion and subject to prevailing rates and availability.  Note:  You should book as early as possible as the group block and rate may sell out prior to the hotel’s reservation deadline stated above.  Refer to your hotel confirmation for cancellation policies.

Villa Accommodations

East Beach One (1) Bedroom Scenic View Villa $249 per night*
East Beach Two (2) Bedroom Scenic View Villa $319 per night*
East Beach Two (2) Bedroom Ocean View Villa (Sat to Sat Only) $519 per night*

*Taxes and Fees: A Resort Service Fee of 9% per villa per day will apply to all guest rooms utilized. The Resort Service Fee includes on demand, on-island transportation to all resort owned venues via the existing resort vehicles, 800 and local phone calls, credit card access calls, and in-room coffee. This service charge is subject to change.  Rates are presently subject to 12.5% tax (taxes are subject to change). The maximum occupancy at Kiawah is two (2) adults per bedroom. Children under the age of 18, when accompanied by an adult and staying in the same room, are free of charge.

Amenities

One and two-bedroom villas located in the East Beach section of Kiawah Island include features such as full kitchen, dining and living areas, washer/dryer, screened porches or decks, and various amenities.  Daily housekeeping is included in room rates.  Check-in time:  4:30 pm; Check-out time:  10:30 am.

Call SMA to request assistance for special needs.  Most requests received at least two weeks prior to the Conference can be accommodated.  A limited number of handicap accessible villas are available.  Book early and note any special requests to ensure accommodations will fit your needs.  ADA-approved hotel rooms in The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island may also be requested as an alternative to villa accommodations.

To Book Your Reservation

By Phone: Call Kiawah Island directly 1-800-654-2924 and reference Southern Medical Association and Group Booking #13254 to receive the group rate.  Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of this call.  All conferees, families and guests are requested to book reservations within the SMA block.

 Kiawah Island Golf Resort Reservation Deposit and Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to a two night’s stay is required to hold each individual’s reservation.  Such deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the dates indicated, and upon check-in shall be applied to the stay.  The Kiawah Island Golf Resort will confirm your reservation directly to you when your deposit is received.  Cancellation notice must be received by Kiawah Island Golf Resort at least 14 days prior to day of arrival and a cancellation number obtained for refund of deposit from the Resort.

Southern Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Southern Medical Association has been resurveyed by the ACCME and awarded accreditation with commendation for 6 years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians.  SMA’s accreditation period is valid through November 2017.  ACCME accreditation “seeks to assure the medical community and the public that Southern Medical Association provides physicians with relevant, effective, practice-based continuing medical education that supports US health care quality improvement.”
